Color-Blocking

I recently picked up these OTK boots that have been on back-order for months. I have wanted classic black boots like this forever, but I wanted to find the perfect pair for me. I like boots that are more of thigh-high length and these were the perfect ones when it came to the style I wanted. In fact, they are already sold out again, but I have linked two very similar pair below.

When it came to styling my new boots for the first time, I wanted to do a bit of color blocking. By pairing a chambray top with gray skinny jeans and then adding the OTK black boots, I created a color blocking effect that I loved! I even wore a gray cross body bag that hit at the gray layer in my outfit. (Yes, even that detail was planned.) To finish the look off I added a great long plaid print coat.
