Thanksgiving 3 of 3

Over the weekend we celebrated our 3rd and final Thanksgiving. You would think I'd be turkeyed out, but they were all so different. (the first was Italian, second traditional, and this last one was all organic and gluten free.) They were all amazing and I am so thankful for having such a large and wonderful family!

I decided to wear my bow sweater that I've held onto now for over 3 years. I only wear it a few times a year and it still works year in and year out. LOVE items of clothing like that! I paired it with a dark jean and some great black and gold tone jewelry.

Did anyone else have more then one Thanksgiving to attend?

So I cut my hair! Like I said before, I still need a dye job but I did it! I had 5 inches taken off and cut bangs. My husband is over the moon as he met me with bangs and every few years I cut them for him. ;) What do you think?
We spent Thanksgiving day at my hubby's uncle's house in Ottawa. We had a wonderful time, ate lots of food and treats, and enjoyed some family time.
I then came home and started shopping online at midnight! Who ventured out on black Friday? I am not that girl. I am the one who sits with a coffee in had and finds my deals one click at a time! ;)

My date with Edward Cullen

I finally got to go see Breaking Dawn part 1 on Monday morning. I loved it! Yes, it was weird. Yes, it dragged a bit, but it did good by the book and that's all I care about. If you know me then you know I have read all 4 books 3 times and I love everything Twilight! GO TEAM EDWARD! LOL okay, now that that's out of my system, lets talk outfit. ;)
I went with a very chic look and added this great red necklace to accessorize. Did I feel overdressed to be at the movies at 10:00am? sure. But did I dress appropriate for my date with Edward? YES! I went out with the girlfriend for sushi after so by noon I blended in just fine.
I'd rather be over dressed then under dressed any day of the week!
Now onto my hair aka stringy mess. I need a hair cut BAD! Thinking I'll do a full overhaul (cut/ color) after the holidays but in the meantime I must lose a few inches STAT!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! One of the best parts of having a large family is all the eating we do over the holiday season. ;) This is what I wore to our 1st of 3 Thanksgivings celebrations. I went with a loose blouse and jeans so I could eat until my little heart was content. And I did just that!
Here's what my mom cooked for us:
Photobucket
Italian stuffing (spinish, rice, ground beef, cheese, onion) sweet potatos, bread stuffing, turkey, and rolls. She also made home made cranberry sauce, regular mashed potatos but that was round 2 and by then my camera was away! ;)
I hope everyone has a wonderful time with their families today! xo

Loving Cropped sweaters

Photobucket
Photobucket
Sweater: MNG by Mango (last season), Jeans: E street Denim, Earrings: Jewelmint, Shoes: Express Stone Ring: Vintage, Ring: Judith Jack

For a long time tunics and longer t's, knits, and tops were in but last season entered crop tops (I should say they came back into rotation since the 90's). My initial reaction was HELL NO! lol I'm not the belly shirt kind of a girl (I mean come on, I have 2 kids!;). Lately I'm loving them. As long as you are wearing a higher rise jean and don't put your arms over your head too much, I think they are perfect.
I paired my crop sweater with my dark wash jeans, threw my hair in a bun, and put some amazing earrings on! It's wonderful how a dark lip, some eyeliner, and earrings jazz a very simple look up! ;)

Purse party

Photobucket
Photobucket
Dress: Forever 21, Cardigan: H&M, Shoes: DSW, Necklace: Express, Ring: Jewelmint

My sister and mom hosted their annual purse party over the weekend. I had both kids with me so I needed to wear something that I could run around in and also still feel like I was cute enough to be at a party in. ;) This short sleeved maxi dress did the trick.
I ended up leaving before the party actually started because my little lady missed her nap and was out of her mind. I guess she didn't get the memo that this was a fun girls night. ;) Oh well, what can you do?!
Here are a few pictures of what the set up looked like just before the party started:

All and all the night was a success. I got 4 purses for holiday gifts and had my mom put a few for my "Santa" pile from her.
If you live in the suburbs of Chicago or southern Wisconsin and want to throw your own Creatively Yours purse party, email me and I'll send you my contacts info.

Sponsored post: Very.com

Prior to a few days ago I had never heard of Very.com. Once I got to their website and looked around I was pleasantly surprised! Their mission is to bring British fashion to the world and they want to spread the word about coming to the USA! This dedicated site has been created to offer the fashion-conscious American consumer the best of British style. Sounds good right?!
Here are a few of my favorite items from the site:
Photobucket
Photobucket
Very.com is a massive website that has everything from clothes to coats and shoes, menswear to sports wear, and maternity to nightwear. They really do have something for everyone!
I do think that it is the type of website that you need to search around on. There are so many items up and not everything is something I would wear. Having said that, when I found an item I loved, it was spot on. Another thing that was spot on is the prices. The items above ran in the $60 for the dresses, $27 for the animal print top, and $111 for that blue coat (only $55 if you want it in black with camel color detail). That my friends is a steal! Also perfect for the cold months ahead of us.
Very.com is running a special over the holidays so, if you put your email in the widget below you will receive a VIP discount of 20% over Black Friday/Cyber Monday. You will get a special alert sent to your email when you do so!

What do you guys think? Great find right?! You can "like" Very.com on FB and follow them on Twitter too! Also, on the website homepage you can click on the link to check out their British street style blog by Suzi Tse. She has some great tips!

Bell bottoms and lace

Photobucket

Top: Lulus, Jeans: 7 for all mankind, Shoes: Forever 21, Earrings: Erin Gallagher, Wrist wrap: c/o Kristin Hassan, wood bangle: Vintage, Gem bracelet: c/o Katrina

I can't believe I haven't worn this top yet! Since I have lots of plans to layer up over it, I decided to wear the sheer top as is for a day. I probably should have worn a tank under, but I was in a bandeau kind of a mood. ;)
I just love the lace detail at the neck and on the back of the arms. I felt retro and playful all at the same time. LOVE!
** please excuse my faces above. Not sure if I was mad or what, but I think they are too funny!

Recipe: Layered Chocolate-peanut butter fudge

This recipe is beyond easy (all done in the microwave!!!) and it is so yummy!!! I just had to share it!
Photobucket

What you'll need:
1 pkg. (8 squares) Baker's semi-sweet chocolate
3/4 cup canned sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup cocktail peanuts, chopped
1 pkg. (6 squares) Baker's white chocolate
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter

Make it:
Microwave semi-sweet chocolate and milk in microwaveable bowl on high for 2 mins. stirring after 1 min. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Sir in nuts. Spread onto bottom of foil-lined 8-inch square pan.

Microwave white chocolate in separate microwaveable bowl on high 1 to 1 and 1/2 mins. stirring after 1 min. Stir until melted. Add peanut butter, stir until melted. Spread over semi-sweet chocolate layer.

Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm. Cut into squares.

No makeup no jewelry, lets get it done!

I know, I know, no jewelry? How unlike me! ;) I was headed to Babies R US this day to pick up my beans big girl car seat. If you've ever purchased a car seat you know it comes in a giant box. It's heavy(ish) but mostly it's an awkward sized and hard to carry. I decided an over sized knit and legging was the way to go!
Photobucket

Knit: MNG by Mango, Leggings: Victoria's Secret, Hat: Swell (sold out), Boots: Victoria's Secret, Bag: MNG by Mango

I was able to get some shopping done and not look over done while dropping off donations to our favorite Children's services building. Plus my daughters teething BIG TIME so all he drool blended in! lol This is real life~ ;)
